I want to do a tutorial on how to avoid snoutface. You know what I mean right? That dumb, terrible-looking habit anime fans have of drawing featureless profiles and cheek-mouths. What I want from you guys is a bunch of good examples of snoutface, preferably from webcomics. Make sure to mention what comic it's from. I need some basic snoutface, some snouts trying to 'emote,' snouts at weird angles, snouts on otherwise well-drawn work, etc. Oh, a few furry snouts wouldn't hurt. Because it's double-unforgivable for a big-mouthed animal like a wolf or a crocodile to have an unmoving jaw.

Well, probably the most obvious example would be of Dominic Deegan. You could pretty much go to any page to find examples of pig-face. Outside of that, there's probably tons of examples on Deviantart (not necessarily webcomic related, yeah, but great for illustrating a point about poor anime face anatomy).

Well, it would be relevant to illustrate snoutface in general, but I understand that you're more interested in showing it in a comic format.

Anyway, like I said, Dominic Deegan is the best example I can think of.

This may not be what you wanted but it falls in with problems with anime styles.
Twokinds and Kat box characters usually have no chins or the mouth is way too small and set very low on the face. Their chins usually come to a perfect point too and despite what the character is doing, whether they are yelling or whispering the lower jaw remains in that point and never moves.

Mora and Catgirl #8753 could be talking but you wouldn't know it since their mouths are either closed or just not there: http://laslindas.katbox.net/index.php?strip_id=276

Concession's older artwork and most of the "new and improved" stuff suffers from snout/same face.

Jay Naylor's artwork for original life has really stagnated (worse than during better days) so a lot of his characters look very similar to each other. The monochrome coloring does not help this. A favorite joke over at Loljectivist is that you can red line a lot of the characters to look like Beth.

Here is a prime example of snoutface and cheekmouth, and bad anatomy, and everything that is wrong with internet anime.

Also, you do not know how lazy a technique truly is until you try it yourself. And this technique is the laziest technique I've ever seen.
